Surveys on Italian researchers in the USA and some data on Italian researchers in the world
Abstract
Two works on international mobility of Italian researchers are presented together: the first (A) illustrates some results of the sociological survey on Italian researchers in the USA “Speciale USA,” edited by M. Carolina Brandi, Loredana Cerbara, Nicolò Marchesini, Cristiana Crescimbene, Sveva Avveduto (Cnr-Irpps) Claudio Barchesi (Cnr@Maeci) and Giusi Condorelli (Embassy of Italy in Washington) carried out in collaboration with AIRIcerca New York Chapter and promoted with the support of the Italian Embassy in the United States of America, the diplomatic-consular network and the Com.It.Es. in the United States (Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Washington DC) and Issnaf (Italian Scientists and Scholars of North America Foundation). The text is introduced by two contributions on research policies and the history of scientific migration studies written by Sveva Avveduto and M. Carolina Brandi. The second work (B - page 33 and following) presents some data on Italian researchers in the world, extracted from the database of the Maeci portal Innovitalia.Downloads
